● 對 象|屏東大學教師
● 講 者|國際學院唐世陶講座教授

● 主 題|My friend ChatGPT: Developing Judicious, Non-reliant, Responsible Users of AI Language Models
● 地 點|共創教室(屏商校區活動中心1樓)
● 說 明|
In this workshop, the facilitator will begin with an overview about the nature and functions of AI language models such as ChatGPT, their impact on our lives as individuals and teachers and/or learners. Through reflecting on his own experience of using such AI language models, with “live” demonstrations of real-time interactions with ChatGPT, the facilitator argues for the need to develop judicious, non-reliant, responsible users of AI Language Models. He will then present a systematic framework for measuring the above-mentioned attributes, and conclude by discussing important implications for teachers in the face of such a challenge.
● 時 間|112年6月20日(星期二) 上午9時至11時30分
● 主 題|Catch 22: A CLIL learning experience for teachers and students
● 地 點|共創教室(屏商校區活動中心1樓)
● 說 明|
This seminar takes participants on a learning journey experienced by two professors, when they collaborated in the teaching of the Special Education Elective Course “Child Development & Guidance” to twenty students in the Spring Semester of the 2022-2023 Academic Year.
The seminar comprises three parts. In the first part, the speakers will outline how the course was designed to involve students in learning activities such as reading, logistics planning, conducting interviews, observing, evaluating and reflecting on learning. Such tasks and activities would involve students’ cognitive thinking in learning about Special Education, as well as their use of language, in both Chinese and English, with the presentation of learning outcomes all in English. Such design and planning is informed by CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) principles.
In the second part, the speakers will describe the reiterative process of fine-tuning the teaching over the semester in an attempt to maximise teaching and learning effectiveness.
In the third and final part, the two speakers will share the respective insights gained from the interesting and occasionally disturbing learning journey.
